Crown Care Center residents were recently paid a special visit by Midge the miniature horse. Residents had the chance to pet Midge and take pictures with the miniature horse.
Midge is a therapy certified horse that travels to various nursing facilities. Research shows that miniature horses can be effective for helping hospital patients, seniors, people with disabilities and people recovering from illnesses or injuries. Miniature horses make great therapy animals because they have a calming effect on people of all ages.
